History

Matina Butcher has successfully imported four Saint Bernards from America including two American Champions.  Her kennel boasts the individual accomplishment of being the first exhibitor to title American imported Saint Bernards in Australia or New Zealand of the rough and smooth coat variety.  She was also the first exhibitor to successfully gain the title of Australian Champion on a Swedish Import in Australia, Aust. Ch. Bernegardens Nothing But Trouble (imp Swe), handling this dog to multiple Best in Show winning under two different American Specialist judges.
Matina’s most recent successful milestone was the importation, handling and titling of Am/Aust/NZ Ch. Stoan’s Disney World V. Valinta (imp USA).  This dog remains the most titled Saint Bernard ever to be shown in the Southern Hemisphere, also boasting multiple Best in Show All Breeds and Specialty status.
Stiniyasu Saint Bernards has an impressive record of over thirty homebred Australian Champions, including overseas Champions, with many more to follow in the coming years.  One of the most notable Stiniyasu Champions being the home bred Aust. Ch. Stiniyasu Itchy Feet.  His performance at Saint Bernard Specialty Shows has been outstanding despite being sparingly shown

Matina has judged in most states and territories of Australia at All Breeds shows as a licensed Utility Judge (Australia) as well as judging internationally, awarding Challenge Certificates for all breeds in The Utility Group (Australia), in New Zealand and South Africa at an All Breeds level with a forthcoming appointment including an All Breeds Show for The Pullyallup Valley Dog Fanciers in Washington, USA. At this appointment Mrs. Butcher has been approved to award Championship Points to the following breeds: - Akitas, Alaskan Malamutes, Anatolian Shepherd Dogs, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Boxers, Bullmastiffs, Doberman Pinschers, Giant Schnauzers, Great Pyrenees, Mastiffs, Newfoundlands, Portuguese Water Dogs, Rottweilers, St. Bernards, Samoyeds, Siberian Huskies, and Standard Schnauzers.
